BAKUCHIOL

A natural alternative to retinol, known for its slow-ageing properties. This pretty special antioxidant helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and hyperpigmentation while stimulating collagen production. The clever active also helps to reduce blemishes thanks to its anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. 

PARACRESS EXTRACT

Also known as Sphilantes or Acmella Oleracea, is creating quite the hype in the skincare world. Recent study claims that the active compound in this extract, Spilanthol, acts as a natural alternative to Botox and can relax facial muscles resulting in smoother, less wrinkled skin. This exciting ingredient protects against premature ageing by tightening and firming your skin.

SQUALANE

A vegan, powerhouse ingredient that delivers hydration and protects your skin. Great for all skin types, even oily and combination, squalane acts as an antioxidant that helps neutralise damage caused by UV light.

BLUE TANSY

Luxurious, rare oil holding a magnificent component called chamazulene - an anti-inflammatory agent. Paired with a-bisabolol, they are mighty antioxidant compounds famous for their calming and anti-microbial effects.  Calming scent of blue tansy enhances relaxation and supports deep sleep.

VITAMIN E

This excellent antioxidant combats free-radical damage. A fat-soluble vitamin, effective moisturising ingredient, helping to strengthen the skin barrier function.

FRACTIONATED COCONUT

Unlike the coconut oil as you know it, fractionated coconut oil has been processed to remove the long-chain triglycerides, leaving behind only the medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs). It is therefore more easily absorbed by the skin and have a lighter texture than regular coconut oil. This ingredient is an excellent moisturiser that helps to hydrate and nourish the skin. Its lightweight texture makes it ideal for all skin types, including oily and acne-prone skin.

SMOOTHING & TIGHTENING

Bakuchiol and paracress extract work as a powerful duo to increase collagen production, smooth fine lines and wrinkles and improve the texture of your skin.

BRIGHTENING

Bakuchiol has brightening properties that can help to even out skin tone and reduce the appearance of dark spots and hyperpigmentation.

BANISHING BREAKOUTS

Bakuchiol has been shown to have antibacterial properties, which means it can help to fight the bacteria that cause acne. It can be useful in preventing and treating acne breakouts.

MATURING

Thanks to its main age-preserving properties, this oil serum is great for maturing skins.

ACNE-PRONE

Being anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory, it suits well acne-prone skin

SENSITIVE

Bakuchiol is known to be a much gentler option than retinol that even sensitive skin can tolerate. It is still recommended that very sensitive and reactive skins start with this product slowly and build up the tolerance (start 1-2x a week).

At bedtime, apply directly to your skin after cleansing. Alternatively, mix 2-3 drops into your favourite serums, moisturisers or masks. 

Limit the usage to 1-2x a week to build bakuchiol tolerance, then gradually increase the use depending on your skin, up to 1x a day at PM.

This is my 4th Balmista product and I’m so proud to introduce a versatile serum that targets specific concern, like fine lines and wrinkles. I’ve been studying and researching bakuchiol for over a year, and felt like it’s an amazing option for individuals with sensitive skin who can’t really tolerate retinol, but still want to enjoy the amazing benefits of it.

PRODUCT PACKAGING
Please peel away the labels and dispose it in general waste. The dropper is partially recyclable: gently separate the glass pipette and recycle it with the glass bottle. Place the dropper bulb in general waste.

SHIPPING PACKAGING
All the products are delivered in a recyclable cardboard box, recyclable tape and biodegradable (dissolvable in water/sink/toilet) box fill made of corn starch. Please recycle accordingly.
